01The short version
Shotlume is built by Techno Ved IT Solutions ("we", "us"). It runs as a Chrome extension on top of Google Flow, backed by a small license server that checks whether the license code you entered is valid.
Your actual work — story ideas, scripts, characters, prompts, edit settings and your API keys — is stored only in your own browser and is never uploaded to us. The license server sees a much narrower set of data: your license code, a random browser ID, and basic technical details used to keep licensing honest. The sections below spell out each piece.
We don't sell personal data, and we don't run advertising or third-party trackers on either the extension or this website. We never receive your stories or your AI API keys.
02What stays on your device
Everything you create with Shotlume lives in Chrome's own storage APIs, local to your browser profile:
- Your story ideas, cast, screenplay, shot prompts, edit settings and the list of generated clips (links to clips inside Google Flow)
- Your settings, including which AI provider you use and the API keys you typed in
- The license state: your license code, its expiry date and when it was last checked
- A random browser ID created the first time you activate a license
None of this is uploaded to our servers. Removing the extension, or clearing its data, deletes it. Films you join or download are saved to your computer's Downloads folder by Chrome.
03What the license server collects
When you activate a license, and again about once a day while the extension is in use, the extension sends a check to our license server. The request contains:
- Your license code
- A random browser ID (not linked to your Google account or any personal detail)
- Technical details: browser name and version, operating system, extension version, and a generic device label
- A one-time random value (a nonce) that makes each answer unique
Our server also sees the IP address of the request, as every web server does. It is used to estimate a rough location (country and city) for abuse prevention and for the usage map in our admin console, and for rate limiting. We record each check, successful or refused, in an activity log.
The answer we send back is digitally signed, so the extension can confirm it really came from us. It contains the license status and expiry date and, for display, your name and a masked email address.
04Trial registration data
If you register for a free trial, or if we issue you a paid license, we hold the details needed to create it:
- Your name, email address and mobile number
- The license code issued to you and its start and expiry dates
- The IP address and browser details from the registration request
Your mobile number and email are used to prevent repeated trials, to find your license if you contact support, and to reach you about your license. The license code is shown to you once on screen after registration; it is not emailed unless you ask us to send it.
05AI providers and your own API keys
Shotlume writes your story using an AI service that you choose and connect with your own API key — Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude or OpenAI. When you ask Shotlume to write a cast or script, the extension sends your idea and related text directly from your browser to the provider you selected, using your key.
- Your key is stored only in your browser and is sent only to that provider.
- We do not receive, proxy, log or store your prompts, your stories or your keys.
- What the provider does with the text is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, and any usage costs are billed by them to you.
06Google Flow
Shotlume works inside the Google Flow web page you already have open and signed in to. It types prompts, presses buttons and reads the generated clips on that page, the same way you would. It does not read or send your Google password, and it does not upload your Flow content to us. Video generation, storage and credits are handled entirely by Google under Google's terms. Shotlume is independent of Google and is not endorsed by it.
07Browser permissions we ask for
- Access to Google Flow pages (flow.google.com, labs.google) — to add the Shotlume panel and drive Flow.
- Access to AI provider addresses (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI) — so the extension can call the provider you choose with your key.
- Access to our license server — for the license checks described above.
- storage — to keep your project, settings and license state in your browser.
- downloads — to save your clips and finished film to your Downloads folder.
- debugger — Google Flow ignores ordinary scripted clicks, so Shotlume uses Chrome's debugging interface on the Flow tab only, to send real clicks and key presses. It is attached only while a shoot is running and is not used on any other site.
10How long we keep it
- License and customer records are kept while the license is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for support, accounting and fraud prevention.
- Activity logs (license checks with IP address and device details) are kept for about 90 days by default, then deleted.
- Data in your browser stays until you remove it.
11How it's protected
License answers are signed with a private key kept on our server and verified inside the extension. Access to our admin console requires a signed-in staff account, and requests to the license server are rate limited. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the data we hold.
12Your rights and choices
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, subject to what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons. You can also remove a license from a browser at any time from the extension's Settings, which tells our server that browser is no longer using it. To exercise any of these rights, write to us using the details below.
13Children's privacy
Shotlume is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
14Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. The "Effective" date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we treat personal data, we will say so on the website or in the extension.
